Ida Florence REITER, 92, a resident of this community since 1920, died at 9:45 a.m. Monday June 14, 1965 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Rush at Blue Island, Illinois. She had been seriously ill since March. Mrs. Reiter was a daughter of Richard and Susanne Bauman Asher and was born Dec 28, 1872 in Owen County. She married Elmer Reiter in Owen County March 27, 1895. She was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church and WSCS. Surviving are the daughter at Blue Island; 3 grandchildren and 8 greats; a foster daughter, Mrs. Charles Weaver of Waveland and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Olive Reiter of Ladoga. Preceding her in death were the husband; two daughters, a son, Orris and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Friday at Waveland Methodist Church with Rev. Roger C. Brown.

Services were held for Ida REITER at 2 p.m. Friday June 18 at the Methodist Church in Waveland for Ida Reiter, 92. The Rev. Porter of Waveland Church and Rev. Brown from Rossville, Ill officiated. Kenneth Wayne Coleman sang, Beautiful River; Goin' Home and Suntime Tomorrow (at cemetery) with Zelma Spencer at piano. Pallbearers were Fred Bazzani; Franklin Johnson; Norman Walker; Clarhud Moore; Woody Ferguson and Wendel McCutchan. Honorary pallbearers were all nephews. Those present were Walter, Max, Dale & Larry Bullerdick; Philip Hunsicker; Clyde Burnside; Bill Lidester; Robert Sandusky; Clinton and Virgil Asher and Paul & Russell Reiter. Interment was in Russellville Cemetery.
